Terms and Conditions for Sellers on Ethical Lemur
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) are entered into by and between the Seller (“Seller”) and Ethical Lemur (“Platform”), collectively referred to as the “Parties.”
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering as a seller on Ethical Lemur, the Seller agrees to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Seller Eligibility
Sellers must meet the following criteria to sell on Ethical Lemur:
a. Be a legally registered business in the United Kingdom.
b. Provide sustainable and ethical products.
c. Agree to provide relevant certification for their products upon request.
3. Sustainable and Ethical Products
a. Sellers must ensure that all products listed on Ethical Lemur adhere to sustainable and ethical practices.
b. Products must be produced in a manner that minimizes environmental impact and upholds fair labour practices.
c. Sellers are responsible for verifying the sustainability and ethicality of their products and providing relevant certification upon request by Ethical Lemur.
4. Certification Requirements
a. Upon request by Ethical Lemur, Sellers must promptly provide valid and up-to-date certification demonstrating the sustainability and ethicality of their products.
b. Failure to provide requested certification within a reasonable timeframe may result in the suspension or termination of the Seller’s account on Ethical Lemur.
5. Product Listings
a. Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their products and ensuring that all information provided is truthful and transparent.
b. Ethical Lemur reserves the right to remove any product listings that violate ethical or sustainability standards.
6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Sellers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to those related to product safety, labelling, and consumer protection.
7. Account Termination
Ethical Lemur reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Seller’s account if they fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, provide inaccurate information, or engage in any activities that compromise the ethical and sustainable standards of the platform.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Ethical Lemur reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Sellers will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
